What are the duties of an online instructor?
(Academy Guardian)
The online instructor will…
- Pray for you and your family.
- Send a welcome letter to you during enrollment, outlining key information you need to be successful.
- Schedule a welcome phone call. Take the time to get to know your instructor!
- Contact you within one week of enrollment if Student Orientation is not completed.
- Hold you accountable for your target due dates to complete coursework.
- Answer your questions via email or phone within 24 hours on weekdays.
- Interact with you in the course, including discussion forums, when appropriate.
- Grade all work submitted within 48 hours of submission on weekdays (as long as no more than 5 assignments are submitted at once).
- Provide quality feedback to improve your learning. (Additional feedback on assignments or clarification of grading techniques can be requested. Please contact your instructor directly).
- Make reasonable accommodations if you have special needs. (Please discuss this directly with your instructor).
- Report mid-term grades after you take the semester exam. (No work can be submitted in the semester once the semester exam has been taken).
- Report a final grade within three days after you complete the course, or three days from the end date, whichever comes first. (You will receive a zero for any assignment not completed by the end date of your course).
