What writing style is utilized in English courses?

The English courses teach MLA writing style and the majority of high schools in the United State utilize MLA. It is possible that other styles could be utilized if the student contacts his or her instructor in advance and receives approval. But if not mentioned otherwise, all papers and essays must be submitted in MLA format and all citations must be included.
