How to make a Mac document open properly on Windows?

You need to save or export it in a Windows-compatible format.

Here are the steps for common Mac apps:

Apple Pages → Save for Windows

  1. Open the document in Pages on the Mac
  2. Click FileExport To
  3. Choose:
    • Word (.docx) → best for editing on Windows
    • PDF → best for viewing only
  4. Click Next
  5. Save the file

Apple Keynote → Save for Windows

  1. Open Keynote
  2. Click FileExport ToPowerPoint
  3. Save as .pptx

Apple Numbers → Save for Windows

  1. Open Numbers
