The person who enrolled a student in a course may request a course pause up to one week before the desired pause/break.
A pause does not extend the course end date. It shifts the upcoming assignment due dates to create a manageable schedule. If more time is needed after the pause, an extension can be requested.
Paused time still counts toward the total course duration.
Maximum enrollment lengths:
0.5 credit courses: 6 months from the course access date
1.0 credit courses: 12 months from the course access date
How to Request a Pause:
Log in to MyCoursePortal.netDashboad. (Contact us if you need login help.)
All the way to the right, select the Change Request icon next to the enrollment you want to pause. (Click here if you are unable to locate the student and course.)
Select Pause the Course from the Change Request Type menu.
Enter a brief explanation and resume date in the description field.
Select Submit.
After you submit the change request, you will receive a confirmation email. After the request has been processed or denied, you will receive a follow-up email.
